Jersey Boys Tour

In early November the fifth anniversary for “Jersey Boys,” the Broadway musical, will be celebrated in  various ways all over New York City.

On November 5, festivities will start when current cast members of Jersey Boys Jarrod Spector, Dominic Nolfi, Ryan Jesse and Matt Bogart will appear at the Empire State Building, which will be lit in yellow, red and white, the signature colors from the “Jersey Boys” logo.

On November 7, Bob Gaudio and Frankie Valli, original Four Seasons members, will be joining co-authors of “Jersey Boys” Rick Elice and Marshall Brickman along with the current cast as 52nd Street, the cross street between 8th Avenue and Broadway, will be renamed “Jersey Boys Walk.”

Katherine Oliver, Commissioner of New York City, later that day will be presenting the “Jersey Boys” with a Mayoral Proclamation to recognize the musical’s long run as well as economic impact it has had for New York City during the evening performance’s curtain call.

On November 8, Elice, Brickman, Gaudio and Valli will be presented will caricatures by Sardis at a private reception held at the famous theatre district restaurant.

“Jersey Boys” made its premiere in October 2004 at La Jolla Playhouse.  It arrived at August Wilson Theatre on Broadway in November 2005.  The Broadway production won four Tony Awards: Best Musical, Howell Binkley, lighting designer, and original stars Christian Hoff and John Lloyd Young.
